Miriam is a sweetheart, unfortunately she has spinal injuries that limit her mobility.

Rosa , Miriam's dear sister, takes care of her. These wonderful sisters are fun to be with They love to sing, laugh, and visit with us.

Elder Vermeeren feels this may happen more than once a year!

Today is Kinde Day at Somosomo School.

This is the Theme this Year.

The children Assemble for prayer and singing of the National Anthem, prior to the raising of the Flag. This happens each morning at 8:00 A.M.

Then March Music began to play. The kindergarten class began the march around the school ground.

All the other classes joined the march.

We were asked to be the "Chief guests" for this assembly.

Elder Vermeeren was asked to be the speaker.

All the children marched passed us.

Of course Sister Vermeeren cried as a little child presented me with the most beautiful garland of flowers I have ever seen. They smelt like heaven!

Elder Vermeeren did a great job addressing the school children.

The parents lined up on mats along the sides of the platform.

A minister from another faith joined us.

Then an amazing performance by all the students began!

Each class performed for us.

They sang, played drums...

And danced for several hours.....

Delicious treat were brought to us...

The parent would run up during the performance and place candies or cookies in the children mouths .

Then two ladies took Elder Vermeeren and danced with him!

What a Wonderful Day it was! One we will always remember and hold close to our hearts!
