Taveuni Sunday...

Recently returned from the Marshall Islands Mission, Elder Paul Logalaca, with his family.

Parents peeling potatoes for school lunches......
Hello from the South Taveuni Kindergarten..

And the Secondary classes....

Lunch break for those helping repair the schools too...

Next to the newly erected tents to visit families and hear  their  personal stories on receiving tents...

As rain has been pouring down for the last few weeks, Many families were drying out items...

Drilling rigs were driving up to the Boar hole to begin drilling for water...

Men from the water department also came.....

Navakawa has been waiting along time for this event...

Our "Story Teller" and "Photographer" are here from Utah with their daughters to document the events around the tent donations and families that received them.
Angie Woodbury and Sabrina Gardner from Utah with their daughters .

Angie records many families stories...

The children, home for lunch break , tag along to watch....

Some tents were moved during the rains to drier areas . Many had trenches dug around them.

So many items were damaged and lost during the cyclone....

Robin Kelly from Nakia is well loved by all who meet her.

Extra rope was left to stabilize the tents. Families were told these tents were very durable . If maintained, they could be used for a long period of time.

Classes are still held wherever possible....

Many children are helping in the communities. These boys are burning rubbish.

This crew of men are rebuilding a roof....

Sepo was at the Temple Cultural Event in Suva. He relates his concern for his family as he waited to get back to Taveuni. As there was no communication on this island, he had no idea what he would be coming home to. There are eight children in his family. They lost all their earthly possessions, but they had each other.  Their tent was a real blessing for them.

This mom , daughter, and her four children were also very grateful...

Blessings come in many ways to the people of Fiji. Many cried as they recalled Cyclone Winston raging path through their humble homes in Taveuni Fiji! All were very grateful for the many organizations who have come to their aid. God has truly blessed them.
