Tents Arrive in Taveuni!





The first day three tents went up...

Excitedly watching as new tent homes appear....

So many pieces to assemble...






The chiefs brother Liei helps to decide who is most in need of shelter...


Many help....







Members and non members in need will receive these tents...


30 were brought in...



Our first family express gratitude for their new home!



10 by the Rotary Club...



10 by "Laloma" group which is fijian for Love.

and 10 were purchased by Hawaiian Latter-day saints...

This one is a home and will serve as a meeting house on Sundays...

Navakawau group is growing rapidly..
Last Sunday over 20 people attended Church Meetings...









 As each home is handed over to each family, gratitude and tears that are expressed.

Many are widows with several children.....

The next day we met at the church with as many as could come for a "clean up the tin and haul it away" project in Navakawau. We will also continue to set up more tents.....

along with water drum deliveries...

Our team had two trucks continuously taking damaged tin to a disposal area...





A few people also received glasses...


A busy and fruitful day...

President Maiwiriwiri enjoys visits with friends...

President Ranama, our Somosomo Branch President greets families...

Many are pleased to see the "yellow vests" appear, they know we are here to help...






Families Love their new  temporary homes...



















Today seven more tents went up...













A Long Day of hard work... So much more to do...
