President Eyring.

The cultural event began an hour early , at a different venue, and was cut short as government officials announced that Cyclone Winston was moving to Suva area.

We hurried onto buses to return to our hotels. The rain was pouring down.

The waves and really picked up ...

Our hotel was beginning to get water into the lobby.

Soon sandbags were in place. A loud noise night. We were curfew from 8:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. in our rooms. Electricity when out. No food services.

Miraculously we were able to get through the police Barriers to attend the Temple Rededication. A story in it's self!

Back at our hotel a wonderful blessing of a yummy dip  that provided a feast for the Senior couples.

President Clifford Nielson and his wife.

The youth were taken by bus to the areas they were staying in.

The winds continued to pick up.

The cyclone hit Suva about 12:00 midnight!
