In Fiji, a 21st birthday is a very special event. Sister Tupaea wears traditional "coming of age" attire.

Next Sister Tupaea is presented with her Key of Life, by President Ranama.

She wears the key to signify that the door of life is now unlocked for her. 

After she cuts her cake, her companion, Sister Fiu gives her a generous piece of cake!

Sister Tupaea is having a difficult time trying to be her usual lady-like self!


Next we are given gifts..

Beautiful sulu of Taveuni, with the Tagomocia flower on them. This is a rare flower that grows only in Taveuni, Fiji!

Sister Maiwiriwiri has painted Tapa cloth for us!

They are beautiful! She knows I adore the beautiful birds and flowers found on Taveuni.

Next we have the honour of handing out graduation certificates to our seven graduates!

Edmon is working in Qamea Island during the week, his father accepts for him.

It is awesome to have all seven graduates qualify for scholarships!





Many of our young men work off the island, the parents are delighted to accept their graduation certificates.

Everyone sings the Fijian Farewell song. We were able to make a movie of this. It's unbelievably beautiful.
