Bringing in the New Year!
A Tradition in Fiji is to throw water at a person to welcome in the New Year!

Elder Vermeeren said, "I may get wet, but they will get wetter!"

The Sisters got a water surprise going to their dinner appointment!

Sister Fanene and Sister Malito are always there to help. We had a Primary Workers training meeting today. They were there to support and encourage. We Love them!

The Sister's had fun preparing for their branches!

We had representatives from 4 of our 5 areas. A great success!
It has been very windy this week!

The Children are a wonderful example of unconditional LOVE!

A windy day on Taveuni.

There is a reason Taveuni is called "The Garden Island".

These plants are the same height as I am!

We have several tropical rain forests.

Most native Fijians carry a machete and walk cross country.

The Muri Family has been sealed together for time and all eternity in  the Temple. Brother Muri  is The Navakawau Group Leader.

This is one of the tents that the branches have for additional classroom space. The Vuna branch meet in a "Bush Chapel" or a small outdoor chapel. The Tent has been a welcome addition to their branch.

They are very proud of their chapel. They have had linoleum or what they call"carpet" placed on the floor. They also have a mud mat . Most people remove their shoes when they enter.

Today they have been blessed with a Flash drive and a player with all the hymns, the Children's songs, and the new 2016 sharing time songs. As there is no electricity, the  battery operated "radio" or "Music box" is very welcome.

After church they had a luncheon . The Vuna branch and the Navakawau group meet together the first Sunday of each Month. They have "transport" bring them up from Navakawau village.

Elder Mclean and Elder Dunn enjoy their Lunch.

It is good to be with friends. The Navakawa village is about a 2 hour walk or longer with little children.

Of course lollipops are served!

The wind and waves have been very active the past few days.

But Still so Beautiful!

The colours are Vibrant.

Such an amazing variety of flowers.
