It's wonderful to see how the Bible and Book of Mormon support each other as they witness of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Sister Malito and Sister Fanene teach about where we came from, why we are here, and where we go after this life.

A graveyard behind the village.

Dawahli celebrations. Some of the homes in Somosomo were decorated with lights.

We were invited to a couple of  Dahwali open houses.

The Hindu families were beautifully dressed in traditional clothing.

Candles lined the streets and walkways.

Fire Crackers shot out as the sky became dark.

Sweet treats were offered at each home.

So many varieties of sweets. None contained meat or eggs. They were all very tasty.

Elder Tera and Elder Afatasi were given the job of removing and placing new linoleum in there flat in preparation for the zone conference coming up this next weekend.

Never a complaint! They went right to work.

They are Amazing!

They were able to finish the job in 1 day!

The Sunsets are so varied and beautiful on Taveuni!

This is the street we live on . It is pronounced "Wamga"

The dogs lay in the middle of the street. Elder Vermeeren says there is a reason most of the dogs limp.

The wind was so strong last night part of a tree blew off into our yard.

Elder Dunn demonstrates a drum that calls the Methodist faith to prayers on the island twice daily.

The
Qeleni flat is right next to the Qeleni Chapel.

This is the Qeleni Chapel sign. It reads " The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Visitors Welcome.

This is a series of three water falls that visitors like to climb. Next week we will be taking some of the visiting couples here to see them.

It is a beautiful area of rivers, streams, falls, and flowers,  nestled in tropical forests.

Two fruit stands.

A covered resting area.

Goats crossing the road in front of our truck.

Sisters in Qeleni bring in their nets with fish!

They walk out into the reefs about 300-400 feet when the tide is out.

They catch quite a variety of fish.

The long skinny silver ones are flying fish.

They are bright beautiful colours.

They are very proud of their catch.

This island, just off Matei is privately owned by a couple from California. They purchased it in 1975.

This is the Matei building sign.
The Vuna Branch are doing a service project wearing Helping Hands  "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints " Vests.

They scrubbed all the ceilings, walls, and floors.

Everyone is happy to be helping.

Even the younger children are eager to participate.

A great project for the Vuna Branch...

And our new Vuna Elders...
