November 9th

Taveuni Transfers,
Elder Noble and Elder Brown says farewell to the young men from Vuna.

Tabuanitoga Sokovakayawa is receiving his mission call from Elder Vermeeren.

After taking it home to his Father to open, he learns he is going to Perth, Australia, he reports on the 11th of February!

He is a very beautiful pet. Rohan is teaching him some words.

Ice cream is brought over to our island from Suva. A yummy treat. It is a little sweeter than the ice-cream we are familiar with. 



A farewell dinner for Elder Sarufa at the Fisher home. We are so lucky that Elder Tera will be with us a little longer. 

The missionaries are loved and respected here on our beautiful island of Taveuni!

Welcome Sister Fanene from American Samoa and Sister Malito from Austrialia.

Elder Tera welcomes his new companion and our new district leadership Elder Afatasi from  West Jordan, Utah. He is a native Samoan.

So happy to have our Elders and Sisters here to help us with the work.

Home sweet home...

The are excited to be in Taveuni and ready to work hard. We Love them already!





Elder Tera and Elder Afatasi do service work the very day they arrive here. 

We are so blessed to have Elders that are so  quick to offer help.

The sisters live right next door to the church and have a great view of the town of Somosomo . They are  talented 
wonderful Young Ladies!

  1. Hello sister Vermeeren! I am Elder Dunn's mom, Natalie. We have been following your blog since Cole received his mission call. You can imagine how excited I was to see that he has been assigned to beautiful Taveuni and gets to serve with you. He has grandparents that he is very close to that are serving a mission as well so I'm sure he has already felt feelings of familiarity with you both. Thank you for posting those pictures as it does my heart good to see that our boy arrived safe and sound. Glad to see he is well!

    1. We are happy to have Elder Dunn in the beautiful island of Taveuni! We tease the Elders that the cream of the crop will all serve here at some point . He is a fine young man with a great attitude. He has an excellent trainer too! Missions are Awesome!
