 The Alafi family.

General Conference was shown at the Bush Chapel in Vuna Nov 1st. We brought a generator and TV to view the conference c.d. that had come over to our island by boat . We had 81 in attendance.

Followed by a treat for all.

Vuna Branch Presidency with Elder Vermeeren and Elder Noble and Brown.

The children brought the mat under the shade as the branch watched a second session of conference. A long day for the children. Some families had taken the 6:30 am bus , others walked great distances . They were there most of the day.

They played games with rocks, twigs, branches, toys are seldom if at all seen on our island.

A simple game played with rocks.

School children .

The Cargo boat will take him to Suva in just 17 hours.

From there he will travel to the MTC (Missionary training Centre in New Zealand) Then on to P.N.G.

A visiting crab..

Baby brother fell asleep!

Everyone is excited to see conference.

The tallest boy is Joji , pronounced Cho Chee, He is getting his papers filled in for his mission.

The room continued to fill. Everyone started to sing hymns as we waited for the tv and generator to set up.

Totally neat to see how focused even the young children were as they watched conference!

This little fellow slept peacefully.

It is so wonderful to see the church growing in Taveuni! What a great day!!
