July 21st

Two more school deliveries this week. At the fourth one the children sang to us their gratitude , we will get a short movie clip ready for the next blog.
This is a tappa cloth painting made by Sister Maiwiriwiri for her daughter's wedding. Her daughter will be married in the Hawaii Temple this weekend. They are coming to Taveuni for their honeymoon. We are excited to meet her!

This is #4 school in Vuna Elder Noble and Elder Laqere are carrying in a overhead projector. It is similar to the ones I remember in my high school class!

They are delighted to have it and must crank up their generator to see it work.

This little guy is hilarious. He was sitting by himself as the rest of the class had their picture taken. I noticed him and went over to take a picture of him all by himself. The big smile is because he was in a time out and not allowed to get up for the class photo! Whoops!

Snakes and Ladders and Monopoly are learning games .

Today's lesson.

Kindergarden cuties!

They brought us into the new area for treats.
Onto the next school!

Little ones climb high to watch us to arrive.

The demonstration.

The children came out on the school grounds and sang in English: Love is something if you give it away! Incidentally the very song my little sisters sang at our wedding reception. Yes I wept!  They also sang God bless you.

A sweet young lady scaling fish in the river.

How glorious the warm summer evening is!

So inviting for the beautiful people of Fiji!

Sister Maria Verevalu made our missionary board to display in the Somosomo chapel hall.

This is a Cevugda flower. Very delicate and unique.

Introducing Elder Carter's new companion Elder Barnaby, from Boston!
Volleyball is very popular.

The end of another Beautiful Day!
