Our First Island Holiday! (June 26th-We think this was called Sports Day????)Posted June 28th

No School! No Work! A Day for Family, for remembering and learning about  the past...The beautiful traditions, the culture, and sounds of a wonderful people!







Their Tribe Leader was the guest of honour.





Qeleni branch started their celebration with a Service project.




Followed by a Branch Volleyball Game ...

Everyone had great fun.

June 26th

Life in Taveuni is wonderful...
Every sunset is beautiful and unique.

These are cow bones that will be carved into shapes and sold as souvenirs.


Shells and bones as finished products, People work as a coop..making these ornaments.

These shells are discarded after the black pearls are removed. This  man polishes them and prepares them for items for sale.
